This month, we'd like you to get to know Daniel Acosta.
How long have you worked at Halsey & Griffith?
I have been a Halsey & Griffith employee since December 1982 — thirty years.
What areas do you service?
Currently, my service area is downtown West Palm Beach. However, in my tenure, I have serviced as far as Vero Beach, Okeechobee County, Clewiston, Belle Glade, Boca Raton and all areas in between.
What is your favorite thing about being a Halsey & Griffith Service Technician?
That no two days are the same. Everyday presents itself with new challenges that I need to overcome. I feel that I am out in the community and making a difference in the day-to-day tasks of our customers.
What has been your biggest challenge out in the field and how did you resolve it?
I would have to say that it was my first service call as a tech. This machine was for a large company and I was on my own that day. The machine kept jamming, and I must have removed a hundred items to find the problem. I finally found the issue and fixed it. That was the biggest challenge I had to overcome.
Have you always been tech savvy? When did you know that you had an aptitude for maintaining complex machinery?
I have always been capable of repairing and troubleshooting basic things. I discovered that I was able to fix the machines properly and maintain good customer service.
What's the one tip you would give customers to keep their machines running their best?
To keep up with the machine's maintenance and if you are not sure about something to call Halsey & Griffith for service.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my children and family. I also enjoy being outdoors or near the water.
